i am pleased to announce that lies on the prize, the newest actual snailhouse record, will see it's canadian release in june on unfamiliar records. good vibes all around. the folks at unfamiliar have shown nothing but pep, and I think it's a good fit. I can't wait for you to hear it.
sappy records international corporation has put together a tribute to yours truly. this is probably the biggest honour imaginable. it hosts tracks by a whole slew of amazing artists - all playing snailhouse songs. as luck would have it, i'm touring at the moment, and snailhouse will be playing at the official launch tonight in sackville. my speech writers are busy.
later in the summer it will also see a vinyl release on saved by vinyl and a european release on german label mi amante. more on those later.

as hinted at above, I am travelling around canada's east coast for some shows in support of Grand Theft Bus, and I'm been joined on stage by an ever talented crew featuring: kyle cunjak and Nick cobham (of Share), and Mike belyea. the forward music crew is rock solid. photos here.

oh wait - it's still january. i've been on a bit of a health break. making new friends. making new meals. making new music. getting back in the game soon. there will be some shows around here this winter... and elsewhere in the slightly more distant future.

the new snailhouse recording, lies on the
prize, is done and looking for a home. It was recorded by the stalwart yet puckish jeremy gara (arcade fire). Jeremy and i played most of the stuff, but there are also captivating appearances by sarah "a touch of class" neufeld (arcade fire, Bell Orchestre), pietro "lips" amato (torngat, bell orchestre), angela "blue jeans" desveaux (angela desveaux) and jeff "birthday boy" debutte (the acorn).
